Why “Lychnos”

A lamp, and stillness

Lychnos (λύχνος) is Greek for lamp, the word Psalm 119:105 uses for Scripture itself: something carried, lit and followed rather than merely read. It sits alongside the name of our first app, Hesychia, Greek for stillness and watchfulness: one word for the discipline, one for what lights the way through it.

Lychnos LLC is a small company with one person behind it. Questions about Hesychia go to Hesychiasupport@proton.me.
